Constitutive Modeling of Hot Deformation of Carbon Steels in The Intercritical Zone

نویسندگان

چکیده

A previous constitutive modeling for single-phase steels is extended using the mixing law to predict behavior of hot deformation in dual phase ferritic-austenitic intercritical zone Fe-C-Mn-Si alloys. Mixing considers two phases instead one, so one formula was modified. The constant’s values used represents average same conditions austenitic and ferritic model. amount each determined as function temperature chemical composition. developed validated by comparing theoretical stress-strain curves with experimental isothermal uniaxial compression tests 1008 1035 carbon at different temperatures strain rates. were carried out a dilatometer load rate 10-3, 10-2 10-1 s-1. good agreement obtained between calculated results over stages hardening. Microstructural analysis also relate microstructure steels. Finally, general equation has been proposed zone.

A comparative study on constitutive modeling of hot deformation flow curves in AZ91 magnesium alloy

Modeling the flow curves of materials at elevated temperatures is the first step in mathematical simulation of the hot deformation processes of them. In this work a comparative study was provided to examine the capability of three different constitutive equations in modeling the hot deformation flow curves of AZ91 magnesium alloy. For this, the Arrhenius equation with strain dependent constants...

Effects of Carbon on the Microstructure and Hot Deformation Behavior

The effects of carbon content on the dynamic and static softening mechanisms of Ti microalloy steels were investigated both in ferrite and austenite regions. &#10The results obtained showed that recrystallization rate decreased as the percentage of carbon content was increased from 0.0035 to 0.110. This is due to the Ti(CN) and TiC precipitates and also the free carbon content. In the ferrite r...

Determining the Hot Deformation Temperature Range of Medium Carbon Ni-Cr-Mo Low Alloy Steels using Hot Tensile and Hot Torsion Tests

The aim of this study was to investigate the suitable temperature range for hot deformation of three medium carbon Ni-Cr-Mo low alloy steels by hot tensile and hot torsion tests. Hot tensile tests were carried out in the te,prature range of 850-1150°C at a constant strain rate of 0.1 s-1 until fracture. Then, the tensile flow behavior, hot ductility and microstructural evolution of the steels w...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
